The Italian Information Technology sector will close in 2012 to -3.2%, with 19.006 million euro. But if the traditional IT is following the recessionary trend new IT is emerging in contrast and linked to the world of the Web, the Social, mobile, Cloud, which contributes to the development of the digital economy. Italy is in some ways a nation in which the consumerization of technology is a fad, and from there it spreads by osmosis social and business: the sales of tablet and Cloud Computing +52.1% to +57,8% are the spearhead.
Software continues its slight growth (+0.8%), reaching 4.283 billion euro, with two particularly positive note and refer to the “New IT”: the new generation Business Intelligence (+3.7%) and the Process & Content Management (+4.1%).
