UK IT companies outperformed value creation over the last 12 months compared to other sectors on public markets. The main index, the FTSE 100 gathering the top 100 companies in the UK lost 2.4% while the top 10 IT companies had a median increase in value of +8.5%.
Leading the sector we found Micro Focus International, Advanced Computer Software and EMIS with respective performance of + 30.6%, 32.7% and 33.8% over the last 12 months.
The main drivers for this growth was the result of an increased activity on consultancy projects based on Borland solutions (+4.5%) and Microsoft solutions (+2.7%) for Micro focus. Advanced Computer Software saw its 365 Cloud-based services (business processes on mobile) growing by 11%. And finally, the performance of EMIS group came from an increase in license revenue for its integrated health care solutions (+31%).
